sales team member
The sales team member at Martha’s Bike is a highly energetic, well-rounded and self-motivated individual with the ability to perform standard morning and nightly retail procedures while presenting outstanding customer service and in-depth product knowledge on our bikes, policies, merchandise and services.
This individual is an organized self-starter and swift learner with previous experience in retail or customer service. Knowledge of Martha’s Vineyard and surrounding areas is a plus. Multilingual is a plus. Experience in the bike sales, rental, service industry is a plus. Ability to operate POS system and basic computer software as needed. The Associate will embody our brand’s DNA, acting as a first impression to our customers visiting and living on the island.
mechanic
The Mechanic at Martha’s Bikes is an efficient, well-seasoned and highly-knowledgeable individual able to service and repair a range of bikes ranging from standard, hybrid, mountain, electric and tandem styles. This individual will create and respond to in-house/customer repair tags and is well-versed on all necessary parts, necessary tools and machinery and will handle the ordering of any parts from third-party vendors.
He or she will manage and maintain the service area while handling all service or repair-related phone calls from our customers.
messenger (21+)
The Messenger at Martha’s Bikes will deliver bikes to our customers around the island using a digital route planner. This individual has a valid driver’s license and can operate a pick-up truck. The messenger must be able to lift upwards of 50lbs and knows their way around the island. As with all positions with Martha’s Bike, the Messenger will present elevated customer service and some basic knowledge of our fleet, products and services.
shift manager
The Shift Manager at Martha’s Bikes is a motivated self-starter with the ability to delegate any business-related tasks and projects to associates. He or she will effectively drive the business by showcasing a lead-by-example, “can do” attitude. This individual has experience in management and is knowledgeable of our bike fleet, services, and in-store merchandise. The Shift Manager is great communicator, efficient leader and problem-solver who will handle any customer service hiccups. Knowledge of Martha’s Vineyard and surrounding areas is a plus. Multilingual is a plus. Experience in the bike sales, rental, service industry is a plus. Ability to operate POS system and basic computer software as needed.
